Statement
of Beliefs
All
scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable
for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction
in righteousness: That the man of
God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
2
Tim 3:16-17 (KJV)
The
Scriptures Inspired
We
believe in the inspiration of the Scriptures, both Old
and New Testaments
and that they are
God’s revelation to man. The Bible constitutes the unerring and reliable rule
of faith and conduct for all mankind. (2 Tim. 3:15-17; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Pet.
1:21)
The
Eternal God
We
believe in the Eternal Godhead who revealed Himself as the
eternally self-existent “I AM”, the Creator of heaven and
earth, and the Redeemer of mankind. Who manifest Himself
to man as God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit.
(Deut. 6:4; Isa.43:10; Mt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14)
The
Deity of The Lord Jesus Christ
We
believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is truly God and truly
man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born
of the Virgin Mary (Isa. 48:12-16). The Scriptures clearly
declare that;
1. He
was born of the Virgin Mary. (Mt. 1:23; Lk. 1:31, 35)
2.
He lived a sinless life. (Heb. 7:26; 1 Pet. 2:22)
3.
He died as a substitute for the sin of all mankind on the
cross. (1 Corth. 15:3; 2
Corth.5:21)
4.
He rose, bodily from the dead. (Mt.28:6; Lk. 24:39; 1 Corth.
15:4)
5.
He now sits at the right hand of the Father. (Acts 1:9;
2:33, Phil. 2:9-11; Heb. 1:3)
The
Fall of Man
We
believe in the creation of man as a righteous being, and
that man fell from righteousness by voluntary transgression
of the law of God and thereby incurred not only physical
death but spiritual death as well, which is separation
from
God. (Gen. 1:26, 27; 2:17; 3:6, Ro. 5:12-19)
The
Salvation of Man
We believe in the salvation
of man by the grace of God through the shed blood of Jesus
Christ, the only Son of God. Through repentance and faith in
the perfect work of the Cross of Calvary, sins are remitted
and forgotten by God. (Lk. 24:47; Jn. 3:3; Ro. 5:11; 10: 9,
13-15;
Eph. 2:8; Titus 2:11, 3:5 7)
The
Ordinances of The Church
We
believe in the necessity of baptism in water by immersion
in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Spirit (Mt. 28:19; Acts 2:36-39; 19;1-6; Ro. 6:4). We believe
in the Table of the Lord,
the Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements of bread and the fruit of the vine,
as the symbols representing our sharing in the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus
Christ. Communion is a memorial of His suffering and death, and speaks prophetically
of His second coming, and is commanded of all believers “till He
come”. (1 Corth. 10:16-17, 1Corth. 11:23-32; 2 Pet. 1:4
The
Five-Fold Ministry
We
believe in the full function of the five-fold ministry
or governmental offices of apostles, prophets, evangelists,
pastors and teachers, for edifying of the whole body of
Christ. With apostles and prophets, functioning in the
church by Jesus Christ as foundational and revelatory ministries.
(Eph. 2:
19,20, Eph. 3:4,5, Eph. 4:11-13)
The
Baptism In The Holy Spirit
We
believe in the “Promise of the Father” (Acts 1:8) as a
distinct and subsequent experience of the new birth. Further
we believe in the physical evidences of God's indwelling
power for ministry as described in scripture through the
exercise of Spiritual Gifts including speaking in other
tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and by the Gifts
of the Spirit. (Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 10: 44-46; Gal. 3:14-15,
1 Corth. 12)
Sanctification
We
believe in a life of separation from the world and perfecting
of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian
faith. Sanctification is realized in the believer by obedience
to all of God’s Word. (Jn. 17:17; Ro. 6:1-13; 8:1,2,13; Gal.
2:20; Eph. 5: 26,27; Phil. 2:12; 1Pet. 1:5; Eph. 5:18)
The
Church
We
believe that the church is the Body of Christ, the representation
of Christ in the earth and the habitation of God through
the Spirit. Each believer in Christ is an indispensable
component of the church of Jesus Christ, and is given gifts
and responsibilities of service within the Body. The Apostles
used many of the customs within the Hebrew culture when
clarifying truth in their teaching and ministry of the
New Covenant. Therefore, the Hebraic model of ministry
and congregational life must be understood and taught in
the church in order to illuminate the truths of the New
Testament. (Jn. 24:44,45; Acts 24:14; 28:23; 1 Cor. 11:2;
Eph. 1:22, 23; 2:22, 4:11-16; Heb. 12:23)
The Local Church
We
believe in the autonomy of each local church and that itinerant
ministries should be based out of or related to a local church
with accountability to a senior five-fold
elder. Acts
9:26-27
Devine
Healing
We
believe in the healing of the physical body by the Divine
Power of God. Deliverance from sickness, spiritual, emotional,
mental and physical, is provided in the atonement of Christ
and is available to all believers through faith. (Is.53:4;
Mt. 8:16,17; Ro. 8:11; Jas. 5:14-16)
The Nature of Israel
We
believe that the rebirth of Israel as a nation, with Jerusalem
as its capital, marks the beginning of the fulfillment of
God’s plan for the redemption of His ancient Jewish people.
The church has not replaced Israel, but rather the church
has been grafted into Israel as part of Israel’s commonwealth.
(Romans
9-11)
The
Return of Jesus Christ
We
believe in the resurrection of those who have died in Christ
(1 Thes. 4:16,17; Ro. 8:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Corth.15:51,52).
Further, we believe in the return of Christ with His saints
to reign on the earth for one thousand years. (Zech. 14:5;
Mt. 24:27, 30; Rev. 1:7; 19:11-14; 20:1-6)
The Final Judgment
We
believe in eternal life for all believers in Christ and eternal
punishment for all unbelievers. (Jn. 5:24; 3:16; Mk. 9:43-48;
2 Thess.
1:9; Rev. 20:10-15)
The New Heavens and
the New Earth
We,
according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new
earth, wherein dwell righteousness.
(2Pet. 3:13; Rev. 21,22)
That
we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro,
and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the
sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they
lie in wait to deceive...
Eph
4:14 (KJV)
